Hello everyone!

I know the residents on Reno, Sparks and outlying areas can relate to the this blog and appreciate the same thoughts I have about the beautiful area we live in and the four seasons that we experience here in  Northern Nevada but many of you who contact me ask this very question. What is it like to live there? Is it hot, cold? Can you tell me what is there to do? So today I felt this blog will be the first of many little blogs about our great place to call home! As a native Nevadan only living in two other states briefly, I can attest to the pleasure of enjoying a Spring, Summer, fall and Winter! Why? because I have lived where one state rained nine months a year and the other had nothing but summer twelve months a year. Northern Nevada beginning with Spring the rebirth season you see the trees bloom, the grass green, tulips sprout and the residents are out planting the coming summer flowers! Summer a city packed full of events, Reno Rodeo, Hot August nights the Rib cook off and days filled with sunshine! People can go to five lakes, Pyramid, Tahoe, Lahonton, Washoe and Topaz just to name a few. Fall you feel the air change a crisp breeze at the start of the school season and the lovely change of color as the leaves begin to fall! In the Biggest little city below people look up at the beautiful Sierra peaks "Mount Rose"  for the first snowfall of the season! Winter what a wonderful time to start a fire, bring out the coats and enjoy some of the best ski resorts in the world! The valleys do get snow with occasional white Christmas! We have a community that comes together, protecting the people with excellent snow removal, diligent pollutant protection for our Eco system and community planning creating events for all ages and interest! I ride horses year round, and stay involved in the community, sharing my opinion will hopefully let those of you know what it is like to live in Northern Nevada and those that already do, celebrate what a great place it is to live! I have attached two photos of my arena (the same arena) and my horses so you can see the beautiful Seasons here of Winter and Summer!Image titleImage title
